The Saint John Arts Centre July 11 – August 30, 2008
While the artists
were working on their pieces throughout the spring of 2008, Kathryn
McCarroll was exploring the book concept from her perspective as
Director of the Saint John Arts Centre, where her mandate is to provide
a meaningful experience to the public and maximize the resources
at the Centre. To engage the public, she organized a high-profile
opening with
an introduction by Herménégilde Chiasson, Lieutenant-Governor of New
Brunswick, and invited other dignitaries including the Honourable
Ed Doherty and M.P. Paul Zed.
A catalogue to accompany
Beyond Words was produced by the Saint John Arts Centre, containing
biographies and valuable insights into the artists’ visions of their
work, with Print Three of Saint John contributing to the printing costs.
